Most workshops are suitable for all - whether experienced at or totally new to meditation - all that's needed is a desire for more peace in your life! Some workshops are a little more advanced and designed for those who have attended previous workshops and retreats, or people with more experience of meditation. Generally held at Friends Meeting House in Roundhay, Leeds, all day workshops run from 10.00 am to around 4.00 pm. Please note that although light refreshments are provided during the workshop, participants are requested to bring food for a shared lunch. For details of the venue location please see the getting there (roundhay) section below
Afternoon workshops typically run from 2.00 pm to around 6.00 pm (see flyers for full details) and are also held at Friends Meeting House in Roundhay, Leeds. Light refreshments are provided
Evening workshops are currently held at The Glasshouse Gallery in Chapel Allerton (please note that access within the Gallery is by a short narrow staircase and wheelchair access is not available) and run from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm with light refreshments provided. from central Leeds: Bus 2: From the centre of Leeds use stop V4 on Vicar Lane, opposite Kirkgate Market (about a ten minute walk from the Station along Boar Lane). Ask for the Street Lane Talbot Grove stop. Friends' Meeting House is about 150m further on and on the same side of the road (see the map below). The journey takes around 15 minutes and the service runs approximately every 10 minutes
... by car
from North/West: From the A6120 Leeds Ring Road follow the A61 Scotthall Road and then Harrogate Road towards the City Centre. At the traffic lights after 0.4 miles, turn left (filter) onto Street Lane. Friends Meeting House is on the left after around 0.8 miles, between Kingswood Gardens and Westcombe Avenue
from South: From the City Centre follow the A58 towards Wetherby until the traffic lights at the junction of Roundhay Road with Easterley Road (around 2 miles). Keep left and continue straight on Roundhay Road to the traffic lights at Oakwood Clock (0.8 miles). Turn left onto Princes Avenue (which becomes Street Lane). Friends Meeting House is on the right, around 1.5 miles from Oakwood Clock, between Westcombe Avenue and Kingswood Gardens
from East: From the A6120 Leeds Ring Road turn left at the traffic lights onto Park Lane. At its junction with Street Lane turn right. Friends Meeting House on the right after around 0.5 miles, between Westcombe Avenue and Kingswood Gardens
The address of Friends Meeting House is 136 Street Lane, Roundhay, Leeds LS8 2BW. Please note there is no car park, so if you come by car please park with consideration (there have been problems with people parking across driveways). Street Lane has double yellow lines, but parking is available on Kingswood Gardens or opposite on Ayresome Avenue

There is a sign outside which reads 'Friends Meeting House'. Take the path which runs on the right hand side of the bungalow. Go in the door on the side of the bungalow. There is ramped access into the bungalow

from South: From the City Centre follow A61 towards Harrogate until the roundabout at the junction with Stainbeck Lane (2.4 miles). Turn right, and at the end of Stainbeck Lane (0.3 miles) turn left onto Harrogate Road. The Glasshouse Gallery is on the right after around 0.1 miles
from East: From the Shaftsbury junction on the A64 York Road turn right onto the B6159 Harehills Lane and follow it to its junction with Chapeltown Road (2.2 miles). At the lights, head straight on onto Harrogate Road. The Glasshouse Gallery is on the right after around 0.5 miles
